Dr. Cronje specializes in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery, sports medicine and trauma, comprehensive diabetic foot and wound care, as well as limb salvage.
Dr. Dunja Cronje has received extensive training during a four-year residency at New York Presbyterian/Queens, an affiliate of Weill Cornell Medical College. She has also received supplemental training at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics in lower limb deformity correction and advanced foot and ankle reconstruction training by the American Academy of Foot and Ankle Osteosynthesis. She received her medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where among other extra-curricular activities she represented the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons as the president of the surgery club.
Dr. Cronje has also volunteered her time at the Long Island Breast Cancer Walk, annual cadet boot fitting at West Point, and various health and diabetes awareness fairs in the local hospitals. Dr. Cronje graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Biology and Spanish.
