Dr. Michael Kowalski is a graduate of Marist College with a degree in biology, following graduation from Marist College Dr. Kowalski earned his podiatric medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Kowalski then completed his podiatric residency training at the Washington D.C. VA Medical center, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Kowalski's time working at the VA gave him a great interest in diabetic foot care, wound care, and limb salvage.

On completion of his residency Dr. Kowalski opened his private practice in Wayne, NJ where he practiced from 1989 through 2022, in 2022 Dr. Kowalski moved his practice to its current location in Pompton Lakes. Dr. Kowalski is board certified by The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Kowalski is closely associated with Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, NJ.

Dr. Kowalski has served as the chairman of the CMC Podiatry Department from 19932010 and again from 2021 to the present. Dr. Kowalski was one of the founding doctors of the Chilton Medical Center Comprehensive Wound Care Center, as well as a member of the CMC Medical Executive Committee, and the chairman of the CMC Credentials Committee. Dr. Kowalski continues as an active member of the Chilton medial staff using the hospital for testing, performing surgery and admission of patients. Dr. Kowalski also serves as an attending physician for podiatric medical residents from the Morristown Medical Center's Podiatric Surgical Program. Dr. Kowalski teaches the perspective surgeons medical technique, procedures and protocols necessary for the residents to progress forward in their podiatric medical careers.

Dr. Kowalski believes in offering his patients a full compliment of podiatric care, ranging from the most conservative care to elective and limb salvaging surgery. Dr. Kowalski gives his patients compassionate and comprehensive care for all their ailments. Dr. Kowalski treats everyone from children to adults for all podiatric problems.

When not on the office Dr. Kowalski and his wife Laurie enjoy travelling to ski, scuba fly fish or relax. At home they spend time with their grown children and two Bernese Mountain Dogs.
